2、 Product Nature:

The appearance is white or yellowish crystalline powder. Relative density 1.4. Soluble in water, the aqueous solution is weakly acidic and soluble in glycerol; Slightly soluble in ethanol. It is easy to decompose when wet, with strong SO2 smell when wet, and no smell after drying. It is easy to oxidize into sodium sulfate in exposed air. Contact with strong acid releases sulfur dioxide and generates corresponding salts. Heat to 150 ℃ for decomposition.

This product is widely used. Food grade sodium pyrosulfite is mainly used in food processing as preservative, bleach, loosening agent and synthetic organic medicine; Industrial grade sodium pyrosulfite is mainly used in printing and dyeing, organic synthesis, printing, tanning, color cement and sewage treatment.

This product is easily oxidized in the exposed air and continuously releases SO2 gas. Therefore, it should be stored in a cool and dry warehouse, sealed and packaged, pay attention to moisture-proof, and it is strictly prohibited to store and transport together with acids, oxidants and harmful and toxic substances. This product should not be stored for a long time.

The package of this product is lined with polyethylene plastic bag and a layer of woven bag. The net weight of each bag is 25 kg.
