Nature

[Physical and Chemical Properties]:

Colorless cubic crystal. Generally are white, in the form of porous or granular, honeycomb. Odourless and slightly bitter. The relative density is 2.15 (25 ℃). Melting point is 782 ℃. Boiling point is above 1600 ℃. It has strong hygroscopicity and is easy to deliquesce when exposed to air. It is easily soluble in water and releases a lot of heat at the same time. Its aqueous solution is slightly acidic. Soluble in alcohol, dimethyl ketone and acetic acid. It reacts with ammonia or ethanol to form CaCl2 · 8nh3 and CaCl2 · 4c2h5oh complexes. HEXAHYDRATE is usually precipitated from the crystallization of aqueous solution at room temperature. When it is gradually heated to 30 ℃, it will be dissolved in its own crystalline water. After continuous heating, it will gradually lose water, turn into dihydrate at 200 ℃, and then turn into white porous anhydrous calcium chloride when it is heated to 260 ℃.

Purpose

1. Calcium chloride aqueous solution can be used as refrigerant in refrigerator and ice making.

2. Calcium chloride can be used as dehydrating agent in the production of alcohol, ester, ether and acrylic resin.

3. Calcium chloride can be used in oil drilling industry, working fluid and completion fluid of oil drilling.

4. Calcium chloride can be used as snow melting agent, which uses the chemical characteristics of calcium chloride melting, exothermic and low freezing point.

5. In the chemical industry, calcium chloride can be used as desiccant and gas drying.

6. Calcium chloride can also be used in dye and printing and dyeing industries. It can also be applied to the processing and deinking of waste paper.

7. Calcium chloride can accelerate the hardening of concrete and increase the cold resistance of building mortar. It is an excellent building antifreeze.

8. Calcium chloride solution is used as flocculant in seaweed sodium preparation industry and bean products industry.
