Nature

English name of magnesium chloride: magnesium chloride. Chemical formula: MgCl2 · 6H2O. Yellowish, white, flake and granular, with a density of 2.316-2.33g/cm3, melting point of 714 ℃ and boiling point of 1412 ℃. Crystal water usually contains six molecules, namely MgCl2 · 6H2O, easy to deliquescence. Monoclinic crystal, salty and corrosive. Its density is 1.569 g / cm3 and its melting point is 116-118 ℃.

Purpose

1. Metallurgical industry: used to manufacture refractory materials and the adhesive for furnace arm. The raw material for manufacturing No. 2 flux and smelting metal magnesium.

2. Chemical industry: mainly used for making various magnesium salts, such as magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide and magnesium carbonate.

3. Building materials: it is the raw material for the production of magnesium cement in the construction industry. It is used as antifreeze during construction in winter. It can be made into hard and corrosion-resistant magnesia cement with magnesite (MgO). It can be made into adult marble, magnesite tile, floor, ceiling, decorative board, fireproof board, greenhouse support, partition board, magnesite well cover, bathtub, door and window frame and movable house.

4. Machinery Industry: can be used to make mechanical packing boxes, triangular cushion edges and furniture. It is a good material for "replacing materials for soil".

5. Transportation industry: it is used as road deicing and snow melting agent, with fast deicing speed and low corrosivity to vehicles, which is better than that of sodium chloride.

6. Medicine: can be used as medicine raw material.

7. Agriculture: it can be used as magnesium fertilizer, potassium magnesium fertilizer and cotton defoliation agent.

10. Adding magnesium chloride powder to rubber powder can increase its hardness
